We expected as much with Julio Jones taking on a bigger role. It's just surprising that White said it aloud. "We switched some things up," White said. "We are doing the things [Koetter] likes to do. He’s a smart guy, and he knows what we do best." White has at least 100 catches in back-to-back seasons. It sounds like he doesn't expect a third year of that. "I know that sounds crazy, but we’ve got other guys out there that can play," White said. "Julio is going to be a big part of the offense this year. Harry [Douglas] is going to do wonders in the slot. We have to maximize our talent and get the ball in everyone’s hands."

"I told (the coaches) ... that I don't want to be the most targeted receiver in the NFL," White said. "We've got a lot of good playmakers, and we've got to spread the ball around." Although White remains a good bet to lead the Falcons in targets, Rotoworld projects his fantasy production to drop off to the 10-15 range at wide receiver. Jones is the receiver to own in Atlanta.

When he runs, it's like being at a morning workout with horses in Kentucky – you can literally close your eyes and hear him running with power." Robiskie's comments are further confirmation that Jones is emerging as the offensive focal point in his second season. Observing Falcons practice Tuesday, Fox Sports' Jay Glazer tweeted, "Seeing Julio out here it's almost as if he's on a completely different plane than the defense. Kid is a stud!!!!"

Julio Jones is active for Week 5 against the Redskins.

Jones is over his lacerated hand and should be started with confidence as a WR1 against a porous Washington pass defense. The Falcons' Week 5 inactives are TE Michael Palmer, DE Jonathan Massaquoi, DE Cliff Matthews, QB Dominique Davis, CB Terrence Johnson, FB Lousaka Polite, and OT Lamar Holmes.

Roddy White (knee) will be a game-time decision for Week 15 after being held out of practice again on Thursday.

Coach Mike Smith said White felt better today than yesterday, but the Falcons are being cautious with his knee. White isn't expected to do much in Friday's practice, either, though Smith acknowledges "it's hard to keep Roddy out of a game." Check back this weekend for a better read on White's status for the Giants game. At this point, we do expect him to play.
